I had to temporarily abandon the tulips today so that I could finish this piece for the upcoming quilt show in Athens. I call this one "Memories." Each of the panels featured on the quilt were printed using the deconstructed screen printing technique as taught by Kerr Grabowski on her DVD of the same name. This was such a fun process and each print was slightly different from the one before and the one after, so it was fascinating to see what each print would reveal. Lots and lots of fun!

A Blog in Progress
This is my first posting on my first blog and I have to admit I'm not sure how this is going to go, but it's full speed ahead. Since I don't really know where to start, I'll just jump right in.
I have some photos of what I'm currently working on. As soon as I figure out how to post the photos, I'll show you what I've been doing the past few days.
It started with a photograph:
Which I then printed as a 2x2 poster:
And then I traced all of the shapes onto transparencies:
And then I fused and arranged and pressed the shapes onto the background. And so, I've gotten this far:
The next step is to use thread to blend the shapes and define the flowers, and then on to quilting. I'd love to know what you think!
Thanks for stopping by!
